Evacuations Lifted For Residents Only On Highway 41

OAKHURST —  The Mandatory Evacuation Order for the community of Sugar Pine and the small group of homes around the Sugar Pine Railroad will be lifted to residents only at 12 p.m. today, Saturday Sept. 9.

Resident screening locations have been established at traffic control points.

Below is a list of roads open to Residents Only. Entry to non-residents will remain restricted.

Highway 41 will remain closed to public traffic until 5 p.m.

For additional information regarding traffic control points and re-entry, residents should contact the Railrad Fire Information Line at 559-373-0040.

The public is to remain vigilant on current fire conditions in the area.

SAFETY MESSAGE: If you see electrical wires on the ground, stay clear and contact PG&E immediately. Trees and poles with deep charring, particularly still smoking, should be considered hazardous. PG&E is ready to assist and can be contacted at 1-800-743-5000.

Please drive carefully as emergency responders continue to operate in the area.
