OAKHURST — Gotta lotta go-backs? Maybe Santa didn’t get the message. No worries.
Sierra Global Tech (SGT) wants locals to know, “you don’t have to drive to Fresno to send that Amazon return!” Instead, they will provide what you need to print the return label and drop it off at any of the three UPS centers in Oakhurst.
Why is this important? Amazon recently made a change in their online return process, creating difficulty and confusion for their customers who are not located in larger cities with franchise UPS stores.
When a customer begins the return online, SGT says the default options will guide them to a barcode that can only be scanned at a franchise UPS store. UPS authorized shipping centers in Oakhurst cannot scan this code in order to produce the shipping label required.
Instead, the customer must cancel the return and go through the online process again, taking care not to choose the defaults. The option “UPS Dropoff” must be selected instead, allowing them to either print the label or email it to a friend. SGT says they encourage customers to email the label to them. They will print it and handle the package for them.
They’re also ready to assist customers with the process here in the store. Instructions have been posted on the website.
SGT recently expanded their service options and stock, which now include:
