Dustin Gran Murder Trial Postponed

MADERA COUNTY – The jury trial of Dustin Gran, charged with first degree murder in the 2008 death of Krista Pike, has been postponed.Madera County District Attorney Michael R. Keitz announced on Tuesday that the trial, which had been rescheduled to begin on Sept. 25, has been postponed again by the Stanislaus County Superior Court.

Gran is accused of raping and the beating 16-year-old Pike to death in 2008.

The venue for the trial was changed to Stanislaus County by the Madera Superior Court in December 2011.

In a pre-trial hearing held on Oct. 30, Judge Marie Silveira postponed the trial, setting date to Jan. 28, 2013.
