DUI Arrest After Man Runs Over A Woman In YLP

COARSEGOLD – A Coarsegold man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after running over a woman while backing out of a driveway on Corral Drive in Yosemite Lakes Park last night, according to CHP.

On Thursday, May 31, at approximately 9 p.m., Jake Curtis, 23, was backing his Jeep Compass onto the main road in the 30000 block of Corral Drive.

According to CHP, an 18-year-old woman attempted to climb into the Jeep through the open passenger window. She fell onto the road and was run over by the Jeep.

The woman sustained major injuries and was transported by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Curtis was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest.

The accident remains under investigation.
