Donald Mckenzie Convicted of Possession and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs

MADERA Donald Kevin Mckenzie, 43, of Ahwanee has been found guilty by a Madera Superior Court jury of felony possession of methamphetamine, and two misdemeanors for being under the influence and driving under the influence of a drug.Mckenzie was arrested on Highway 41 by the California Highway Patrol on Sept. 27, 2011, for driving under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana. Officers found drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to Madera County District Attorney Michael R. Keitz.

Mckenzie, who was driving on an expired license, was booked into the Madera County jail and his vehicle was impounded.

Mckenzie faces up to 3 years in the county jail when he is sentenced on Oct. 5.
