Deputies Locate Truck Used In Bank Robbery

OAKHURST — The truck captured on video surveillance during a robbery at the Central Valley Community Bank yesterday has been located by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy on patrol last night located the white Toyota Tacoma abandoned not far from the scene of the robbery.

According to Commander Tyson Pogue, Sgt. Nick Davis spotted the vehicle on Victoria Lane at about 10:50 p.m. The truck had been reported stolen out of Fresno on New Years Day.

The suspects involved in the robbery are still at large, after making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robbery took place at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon. According to the Sheriff’s Office, one white or Hispanic male adult entered the bank and passed an employee a note, while a second male suspect, reported as white or Hispanic, remained in the white 4-door Toyota Tacoma in the parking lot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The robbery suspect was described as a male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue beanie and dark sunglasses.
