Children's Story Concert At Mariposa Storytelling Fest

MARIPOSA – Plan a daytime outing with the young ones in your life and attend the upcoming Children’s Story Concert during Mariposa County Arts Council’s 28th Storytelling Festival, Friday through Sunday, Mar. 13-15.

Storyteller Antonio Rocha will entertain at this fun-packed event on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 2 – 3 p.m. at Mariposa County High School Auditorium.

Rocha’s performance will focus on the sights and sounds of jungle life with perhaps a snake, a jaguar, or a turtle as the main character of his tale. Potential young storytellers may envision themselves as one of the characters in Antonio’s wildly entertaining adventures. Up to four children may attend the Concert for free, with accompanying adult. Adult admission for this event is only $4. Come early, doors open at 1:30 pm.

For adults needing a story fix, immerse yourselves in the awesome talent of all six of our internationally recognized storytellers as they perform for the Festival weekend of March 13-15. Plan to attend and hear their stories and music passed down from a wealth of cultures around the world.

Friday and Saturday Storytelling performances take place at Mariposa County High School, Sunday’s performance takes place at the Park Service’s East Auditorium in Yosemite National Park. Visit the Mariposa Storytelling Festival on Facebook, too.

The Mariposa Arts Council is an incorporated not-for- profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County.
