NORTH FORK – Everyone is invited to come out and help decorate the community Christmas Tree in North Fork on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
The festivities will take place in the Post Office parking lot at 5:30 p.m., and all revelers are encouraged to bring an ornament to hang on the tree.There will be goodies for munching and cocoa for sipping, and Sugar Pine, who will be performing that evening at the Pizza Factory, will join the celebration and lead everyone in some favorite holiday carols. The North Fork Community Choir will also be there for a bit of a repeat performance of the “Songs of the Season” show on Saturday, Dec.1.
Ponderosa Telephone will be bringing out their bucket truck on Monday to get the lights put in place on the tree, Box Feed is providing your basic North Fork street-party seating arrangements – hay bales – and various merchants have ponied up the cash for baked goods and hot chocolate, while Slim’s will, of course, be providing the coffee.
You might want to bring your favorite fold-up chair, and folks are also asked to bring any larger lawn-type decorations they wish to make available to decorate Main Street. The town will be sprucing itself up for the holidays in the coming week, and any donations to make things merry would be greatly appreciated.
