NORTH FORK – The dubbed Creek Fire has now surged to more than 78,000 acres in less than 4 days. The fire continues to be a threat in both Madera and Fresno Counties with a personnel of nearly 1,000 and 0% containment.

The fire started on Sept. 9, 2020 at approximately 6:30 pm near Camp Sierra between Shaver Lake and Big Creek with no known cause at this time as the investigation continues.

The following road closures are still in effect: Road 274 at Beasore Road (Bass Lake) and Road 225 at Road 233 (Cascadel Drive) in North Fork.
