NORTH FORK – A single vehicle crash on Road 274 this afternoon left one pickup totaled and one driver in jail.
Steven Allen, 43, of Rio Linda, was northbound on Road 274 approaching Browns Ditch at about 5:15 p.m., when he lost control of his truck, swerved off the road hitting several trees, coming to rest about 25 feet down the right side embankment.
Allen told CHP at the scene that he was going about 45 mph at the time of the crash.
After a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer, Allen was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence and taken into custody. He suffered only minor injuries in the wreck.
