Crash on Hwy 41 Sends Motorcyclist to Hospital

COARSEGOLD — A crash involving a car and motorcycle Sunday sent a 42-year-old man to the hospital with multiple injuries.

The accident occurred shortly before noon along Highway 41 and Morava Road near the Coarsegold Mini-Storage.

According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle, a 2002 Dodge Stratus being driven by a 92-year-old man, turned into oncoming southbound traffic on Highway 41 from Morava Road.

A 42-year-old motorcyclist riding a 2008 Yamaha southbound on Highway 41 struck the Dodge and was ejected over the car and onto Highway 41.

The motorcyclist, identified as John Holland, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, identified as Robert Falcon, was not injured. He was given a field sobriety test and reportedly passed.

The place of residence of both individuals involved in the accident was not immediately known.

CHP, Cal Fire and Sierra Ambulance all responded to the accident scene.
