AHWAHNEE – Passes are now available for the latest house concert at the Coolwater Ranch in Ahwahnee on Saturday, Aug. 17, presented as a labor of love by Robin Ralston.
Two of the world’s finest guitarists – Todd Hallawell and Robin Kessinger – blend their music, their talent and their stories of performing on the road and around the world in concert.
Their casual, laid-back performance style lets you know that they are as comfortable on stage as they are in your living room or sitting around a campfire at a music festival.
Because their individual musical styles come from vastly different roots, they have been able to create an entirely new musical adventure for their audiences. Their music seems to run, soar, laugh, whisper and cry.
Playing a traditional fiddle tune, an intricate ragtime piece or singing a heartfelt ballad, they provide the audience with plenty of smiles, and an exciting, unforgettable musical experience.
Robin Kessinger, whose great uncle Clark Kessinger was a legendary old-time fiddle player, has won too many guitar contests to list, including the National Flatpicking Championship. He participates in guitar contests across the country, performing and serving as a judge and instructor.
Todd Hallawell, raised in California, has won the National Fingerstyle Championship, and is a regular performer at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society in Nashville. Two of his albums, Before My Time and From Nashville & Back, have garnered critical acclaim.
Coolwater Concerts were born out of Ahwahnee resident Robin Ralston’s desire to bring top-flight guitarists to the mountain area. Robin largely handles the workload to produce these events alone, and gives 100% of the donations to the artist. It is truly an acoustic labor of love.

Coolwater Ranch is located in Ahwahnee, just ten minutes from Oakhurst at 45680 Forest Ridge Drive in Ahwahnee.
The concert is Saturday, Aug 17 at 8 p.m. Passes are available now at Oakhurst Feed and Mountain Feed and Nursery. $20 advance, $25 at the door.
