AHWAHNEE – The next in the series of concerts at the Coolwater Ranch will be Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., featuring Tim and Myles Thompson, guitarists extraordinaire.
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, this father-son act features Fingerstyle Guitar Champion Tim Thompson and composer-instrumentalist/singer Myles Thompson.
The Thompsons are known for their high-energy instrumental and vocal duets of improvised originals and classics reminiscent of legendary artists such as Chet Atkins, Stephane Grappelli, Chick Corea and Jackson Brown.
Although influenced by the masters, their down-to-earth musical style is all their own — a one-of-a-kind combination of improvisational jazz, traditional folk, Celtic, singer-songwriter, country, rock and world.
Suggested donation for the artists is $20 in advance, $25 at door. All proceeds go directly to the artists.
Passes will be available at Oakhurst Feed and Mountain Feed and Nursery by Oct. 11, or you can call Robin Ralston at 559-760-1134 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to have a reservation at the door.
Coolwater Ranch is located in Ahwahnee, just ten minutes from Oakhurst at 45680 Forest Ridge Drive.
