Construction Delays On SR-99 At Avenue 12

COUNTY — The State of California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) has issued a Commuter Alert for intermittent delays in Madera County along State Route 99 and Avenue 12.

CalTrans announced today that Security Paving will be completing the final stages of asphalt paving on Avenue 12. The traffic patterns will change for paving operations starting Tuesday, Mar. 1 and return to the current configuration on Friday, Mar. 4.

Intermittent closures will cause delays on the northbound on-ramp, and the southbound on-ramp and off-ramp, from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. next week, as of Tuesday.

Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, use caution when driving in the area, and should use alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.

Caltrans and Security Paving thank the residents, businesses and commuters for their patience during this improvement project.

The public is asked to drive with extra care while traveling through this construction area, and CalTrans asks drivers to please “Slow for the Cone Zone” at all times.
