Commuter Alert For Signal Repair On Road 426

OAKHURST — If you’re traveling in the vicinity of Oakhurst College on Wednesday, Apr. 3, you may want to take a little extra time for your trip as the signal at the intersection of Road 426 and Golden Oak Drive is going to be repaired.

This work was previously scheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 2; due to unforeseen circumstances, says the Department, the repair work was delayed to Wednesday.

On any day, this news may excite some people who regularly travel the route, heading east on Road 426, who are required to sit and wait through a lightly-traveled, patience-testing left turn signal at Golden Oak every time the light changes.

Madera County Public Works Department has issued a commuter alert for repair of a malfunction in the signal loop detectors to the traffic signal located at Road 426 and Golden Oak.

  • The work will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 3 beginning at 7 a.m.
  • There will be traffic control
  • Commuters should expect delays

Barring any unforeseen issues that may arise, the Department anticipates this repair work will be completed in one day.
