Community Judges Needed For Senior Project Showcase

OAKHURST — Yosemite High School will hold its annual Senior Project Fair on Tuesday May 28 in the YHS cafeteria from 6-8 p.m. and organizers are looking for dozens of judges to assist in the process.

The uplifting showcase is designed to highlight the effort behind the students’ community-based senior projects, which require a minimum of 20 hours in documented volunteer time in order for each individual to graduate. In preparation for this culminating night, students in the Class of 2019 have decorated visual boards to show off their achievements. The program is free to attend and is a fun for the whole family.

Snacks will be available as judges and community members meander through the indoor fair, speaking with the seniors about what they did to help the community. Each judge is assigned to a few seniors and will be asked to talk with them and evaluate their work — bearing in mind, it’s not a grade, it’s feedback!

Anyone interested in being a judge for the Senior Project fair is asked to contact the coordinator Rebecca Hardison by calling the school at  (559) 683-8801 no later than Saturday, May 25.

Yosemite High School is part of the Yosemite Unified School District
