Coat, Backpack Give Away With Trunk ‘n Treat

NORTH FORK — This is a delicious and delightful opportunity for the community to come together and share in the spirit of the fall season.

Stop by the North Fork Christian Center on Monday, Oct. 31 for some Halloween festivities that really put the treat in trick or treat or, in this case, trunk and treat.

From 5 – 7 p.m. on Halloween, the North Fork Christian Center will hold its annual Coat and Backpack Give Away, along with a Trunk or Treat, complete with free hot dogs. There’s even a bounce house for kids.

Organizers say that roughly 200 coats of all sizes will be available for people to choose from, as well as school backpacks, provided by Kids on a Mission. The organization was originally founded by a girl, 8, to encourage youth to show compassion to their community.

While in North Fork on Halloween for all the trunk and treat events, stop by the NFCC across from the North Fork Market, and pick up some candy and a free coat for the chilly days and nights to come.
