Coarsegold School Country Fair Friday

COARSEGOLD – Friday night, Nov. 1 is the date set for an event many are looking forward to the Coarsegold School Country Fair, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the lower field at the school.

Wristbands for kids 4 years and under are just $5, and 5 years and over are $10. There’s also a special family deal for wristbands: buy three and get the fourth free of equal or lesser value. $1 discounts are available to students who contribute a bag of candy to the school office by Nov. 1.

What does a wristband buy? For starters, you get unlimited access to games and activities for all ages. The Country Fair also offers entertainment provided by Community Dance & Theatre, Foothill Chi-Tu Do, square dancing and performance by Dancers, Inc. And there’s more.

The wristband also gives unlimited play on three inflatables, including Inflatable Adrenaline Rush, Inflatable 10-n-1 Obstacle Course and Inflatable 20′ slide.

Coarsegold School Country Fair is presented by the Coarsegold Elementary School PTA and is an important fundraiser and community-building event for families in and around the area.

PTA member Carrie Jenkins says volunteers have been hard at work getting ready for the big night.

“The Annual Country Fair includes many fun family activities, and is one of our biggest school wide events of the year, bringing our students, teachers, families and community together,” says Jenkins.

“Wristbands allow access to all activities,” continues the volunteer mom. “Food and tasty treats like Tri-Tip BBQ, fresh popcorn, cotton candy, deep fried Oreos, coffee, hot chocolate and other yummy stuff will be for sale as well. Bring the whole family and enjoy local entertainment, silent auction, inflatables, carnival games, prizes and more!”

Hot Dog Dinner is $3.50 and Tri-Tip Dinner is $6.

Silent Auction items so far include restaurant certificates, spa services, gift certificates from local stores, a hotel night, jewelry and coveted classroom baskets. The PTA silent auction team requests that payment, if possible, be made and items picked up at the end of the evening. Credit and debit cards will be accepted.

The school Book Fair will also be open and accepting visitors in the library.

So in one great evening of Country Fair, families have the chance to eat and play together, all for a very good cause.
