Coarsegold Man Suffers Multiple Stab Wounds

MADERA COUNTY – A fight between two men in Raymond this afternoon has landed one in the hospital and the other behind bars.

Terry Glenn Jones, Jr., 39, aka Glen Jones and “Spaz,” sits behind bars facing charges of attempted murder.

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, deputies responded to a report of a stabbing victim who had been dropped off on the side of the road in the Raymond area.

The victim, Barry Gene Tucker, 43, was located and transported by SkyLife air ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. He remains hospitalized with stab wounds.

Meanwhile, deputies located the man suspected of attacking the victim, and took him into custody.

Both men have lengthy criminal pasts. Jones claims to be a transient, and Tucker is reportedly from Coarsegold.

It is not clear what sparked a clash between the two men. Tucker, who was wanted on a no-bail warrant out of Mariposa County, remains hospitalized at this hour. His condition is not known.
