Coarsegold Man Arrested For DUI, Leaving Scene Of Injury Crash

COARSEGOLD – A Coarsegold man was arrested for DUI after a crash on Highway 41, and his female passenger is in the hospital with major injuries.

According to CHP, Joseph Alan Hoetker, Jr., 27, was southbound on Highway 41 near Coyote Hollow Lane at about 3 a.m., when he drove his 1992 Ford Explorer off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Hailey Jade Greene, 22, also of Coarsegold, was a passenger in the Explorer, and reportedly suffered major injuries in the accident.

According to CHP, a Hoetker family member transported Ms. Green to Clovis Community Hospital. She was then transferred to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Hoetker, who was reportedly uninjured, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and for leaving the scene of an injury collision.

The accident remains under investigation.
