OAKHURST — Though we often think about making Christmas merry for kids, the Oakhurst Area CHP and CVS store remind everyone of the seniors who may need some special attention this holiday season.
There are special Christmas trees at both locations where you can select an ornament from the tree and then purchase one of the listed gift items.
Place the ornament and the gift in the collection area, and Home Instead Senior Care and community volunteers will wrap and deliver the gifts.
The CHP offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed this Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving), and CVS is open from 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
The gifts will be delivered to our seniors at Oakhurst Healthcare & Wellness Centre and Oakhurst Board & Care for the Elderly on Dec. 18. The last day to contribute is Sunday, Dec. 10.
