China Wells (6S017) road bridge located on the Bass Lake Ranger District closed to replace damaged deck components found during routine inspection
CLOVIS, CA., – During our routine bridge inspections, the Sierra National Forest (SNF) bridge inspection team lead found that some deck components of the China Well Bridge were severely damaged. Out of concern for public safety a need has been determined to close the bridge to all traffic until the deck can be repaired.
The estimated time for these repairs to take place is approximately three weeks. See attached map for a detour to the area.
