This has been an interesting and challenging year for the museum. The museum is now run primarily with a volunteer staff and director. The current board has several new members with lots of fun ideas to improve the current exhibits and will be offering fun classes this summer and throughout the year.

If you haven’t been by the museum in a while, stop by and see some of our new changes. Our life-sized Spiderman has been installed and Smokey Bear is coming soon. Another exhibit in the planning stages is a space-related video game in the shadow room.

The summer activity schedule will be available soon. Some of the summer activities include a Pre-School Little Rascals Club, Fun with the Science Lady, Playing with your Food, and various craft and engineering classes.

The Children’s Museum of the Sierra is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
