Celebration of Life for Teri Lynn White

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Teri Lynn White, of Santa Maria, CA, passed away in Claremore, OK.

Teri grew up in Englewood, Colorado, daughter of Everett Wendell White and Beverly Joan White, and sister to Everett George White. She was an avid bowler during her childhood. Teri graduated from Englewood High School in 1982 and went on to Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in 1992.

Teri married Andrew Ward Millar in Lompoc, CA, and raised two daughters, Terra Skye and Aidan Rain Millar-White. Teri and Andrew both served as psychologists at the U.S. Penitentiary, Lompoc, until they established the Psychology Center of Santa Maria. After years of assisting Santa Maria residents with mental health services, they embarked upon new careers as financial advisors. Throughout her working life, Teri treated all of her clients with care and respect.

Teri was active in her community and served on several boards of directors for non-profit organizations including Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum. She was a member of Kiwanis Club and a Girl Scouts troop leader, and she bowled in various leagues. Teri rescued many animals, and showed love to countless humans by cooking elaborate meals for them. She was a supportive friend and generous neighbor. Above all, she was devoted to her daughters. Teri was compassionate, witty, and wise, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Teri is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husband, Andrew. She is survived by her daughters, Terra and Aidan.
