Celebration of Life for Steve Alan Prendergast

Steve Alan Prendergast passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at the age of 69 after a short battle with lung cancer.

Steve was born in Visalia on March 7, 1951 and grew up in the Fresno area. He graduated from McLane High School in 1969 and immediately started working in the automotive industry. He owned and/or managed automotive repair shops in Fresno, Visalia, and the Central Coast area his entire adult life. Steve met his wife Yvonne while working together at Lincoln Mercury in Salinas. They moved to Ahwahnee 17 years ago to be closer to his daughter and her family. He started working as the service manager of Mountain Auto Clinic and eventually became the owner. He loved living in the mountains, serving his community at his auto shop, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Steve is survived by his wife of 30 years, Yvonne Prendergast; daughters Michelle (Eric) Hagen and Yvette (Donnie) Collins, step-sons Mike and Raymond Morisoli; his grandchildren, Emma and Olivia Hagen, Matthew, Ryan and Daniel Collins, Brittnee and Nick Morisoli; brother Dave Prendergast; sisters, Nancy Schutz, Angie Carter and Patricia Redwine.; 5 great-grandchildren and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
