Larrie Unruh
1947 – 2022
Larrie Unruh, born on December 22, 1947, went home to be with the Lord on
January 26, 2022. His memorial service, “A Celebration of His Life”
will be held on February 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church
in Oakhurst, CA. Their address is 50443 School Road, Oakhurst, CA 93644.
Larrie worked for the Sierra Star for nearly a decade. He began sweeping floors and worked his way to typesetting the entire newspaper. This prepared him for a 30-year career working in printing in Los Angeles. He loved his years at the Sierra Star and was so happy to return to retire in Oakhurst.
Larrie was a mountain man through and through and loved hiking the local mountains and taking drives across the Sierras. His family vacations were often here in the mountains. He was a devoted father and husband and will be truly missed.
