Delbert Demers, 1932-2023
Delbert Demers passed away in his home on February 25, 2023, at the age of 90. Del was born in West Warwick, R.I., and was an only child.
After serving in the Air Force, he moved to Southern California, where he met his wife, Nancy Dwyer. Del and Nancy had three children, Lanette, David, and Danna.
Del and Nancy moved to the mountain area in the 1970s. Del was known in the community as a professional yard sale shopper and participated at the Peddler’s fair each year selling his treasures and making new friends.
Del leaves behind his son David and family from Oakhurst and his daughter Danna and family living in Montana.
