Celebration of Life for Albert D. Heath Jr. of North Fork

Albert was born on Christmas morning 1934 in Arizona. He was always proud of that. He passed away on October 3, 2019, after a long illness. Albert was pre-deceased by both his parents, son Joel D. Heath, and step-son Gregory Burhans. Albert is survived by his current wife Kay, former wife Anita and their daughters Sharron of San Diego, Deborah of Clovis, step-daughter Linda and step-son Douglas and his wife Keri of Oregon. Albert is also survived by ten grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, sisters Madeline Briggs and Paula Beery, brothers-in-law Charles Briggs and Harold Beery, and many other family members.

Albert graduated from Santa Ynez Unified High School in 1953 and Fresno State College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting.

In between his college days he served in the United States Army for two years, receiving an honorable discharge.

Albert’s professional career was as a Certified Public Accountant. He was a partner for many years with the firm Baker Peterson and Franklin, CPA, in Fresno. He opened his own firm in Oakhurst to be closer to his home in North Fork.

Albert’s happiest times were living and working on the ranch he owned with his wife Kay. They had many horses, cows, chickens, cats and dogs over the years. His last dog Duke was his favorite.

Albert’s memorial service will be Saturday, November 2, at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel at 1 p.m. in the afternoon in Oakhurst.

A reception to be announced will follow.
