Escaped Burn Pile Destroys Outbuilding

NORTH FORK – An escaped burn pile off Road 224 (Bonnie B Road) quickly spread through the dry grass, bolstered by breezy conditions, and destroyed one structure before firefighters got it under control. Just after 1 p.m. on Monday, May 4, dispatch received a report of a vegetation fire, but when firefighters arrived they found one outbuilding fully involved.

Road 200 Fire Contained

NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is reporting that the vegetation fire that started along Road 200 this evening is now contained at one-and-a-half acres. They anticipate the roadway will be reopened at about 1 a.m. after being closed since 6:30 this evening due to hazardous conditions as crews battled the blaze.
