MADERA COUNTY – Two Oakhurst women spent part of this past weekend behind bars after deputies found the pair camping behind a business off Highway 49 and Meadow Vista Drive in Oakhurst. Nichole Heck, 19, and Roxanne Castagnetto, 37, were taken into custody Friday and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for trespassing.

Off-Duty Deputy Subdues Alleged Drunk Driver

COARSEGOLD – Elijah Johnson, 22, of Coarsegold is facing DUI charges and resisting arrest following a crash on Highway 41 in Coarsegold.
