MADERA COUNTY – The efforts of Search & Rescue volunteers, along with good weather conditions, led to the rescue of two hikers lost near Fresno Dome on the Sierra National Forest on Tuesday. COARSEGOLD – A Mariposa man remains behind bars facing felony drug charges following his arrest early Thursday morning in Coarsegold. Christopher Davis Franksen, 36, was taken into custody at around 2:24 a.m., Oct. 31, on Road 417 near Quartz Mountain Road, just west of Indian Lakes Estates, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
