Update On The Corrine Fire Tuesday 9AM

NORTH FORK – Residents of North Fork are resting a bit easier as the 920-acre Corrine Fire reaches 90 percent containment. Personnel assigned to the fire has been reduced to 546, with 30 engines, 16 fire crews, 7 water tenders and 5 dozers. All air resources have been released and made available for other incidents.

Activity On Sky Fire Winding Down

OAKHURST – The 500-acre Sky Fire is now 90 percent contained, and the number of personnel assigned to the incident has been reduced to 520. Today crews will continue fire line suppression repair and mop-up on all parts of the fire. Resource Advisors from the Forest Service have identified the extent of suppression repair needed.

NORTH FORK – Residents have been allowed to return home to all areas evacuated during the Corrine Fire, which is now 75 percent containment at 920 acres. There are currently 1,205 personnel assigned to the incident, with 91 engines, 38 crews, 10 water tenders, 6 dozers and 2 helicopters.

OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, which burned 500 acres along Road 632 north of Oakhurst, is now 60 percent contained. As fire activity decreases and some crews are released to other fires across California, those remaining will focus their efforts on fire line suppression repair work.

O’NEALS – More than two dozen engines, two helicopters and two air tankers, plus water tenders and ground crews, responded to reports of a vegetation fire south of O’Neals on Sunday, June 21, about 12:20 p.m. The Red Fire is burning in the vicinity of Road 211 between Red Tail Road and Sierra Oaks Lane.

Corrine Fire Evacuations Lifted This Afternoon

NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is announcing that as of 1 p.m. today, Sunday, June 21, all evacuations for the Corrine Fire will be lifted, and residents will be allowed to return home. This includes the entire closure area on Road 222 from North Fork to Kerckoff Reservoir. All of Road 225 was reopened yesterday afternoon.

NORTH FORK – The Corrine Fire, burning south of North Fork along Road 222, is now 35 percent contained, and has be reassessed at 920 acres. As of 1 p.m. today, June 21, all evacuations associated with this fire will be lifted and residents will be allowed to return home.
