House Fire On Usona Road

MARIPOSA COUNTY – Crews were dispatched to numerous reports of a fire on Usona Road between Indian Peak Road and Boulder Ridge Road, just after 8 a.m. this morning. When firefighters arrived, they found a house fully involved. The fire also spread into the vegetation, charring three-quarters of an acre before the forward progress was stopped.

Fires On Deadwood Started By A Towel

OAKHURST – A series of small fires on Highway 41 just north of Road 425B at the top of Deadwood, temporarily closed the highway in both directions this evening. MARIPOSA COUNTY – The Fox Fire, which started Sunday just after noon along Lookout Mountain Road and Foxfield Lane south of Mariposa, is now 90 percent contained at 25 acres.
