MARIPOSA — Bring your extended family, and join with friends and neighbors in downtown Mariposa on Friday, Aug, 10 for the 2nd Summer Fun Street Fair. Closed off on 7th Street, the Fair runs from from 4 – 9 p.m.
Organizers at CASA of Mariposa County say last year’s event was a huge success, with over 400 people in attendance. The Summer Fun Street Fair is an all-age event with a live band playing favorite dance songs, and over 40 ‘Made in Mariposa’ vendors including local chefs, artists and artisans, farmers and entertainers. Among the items to be given away — 20 tickets to Disneyland. 2o!
This event is hosted by non-profit organization CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates of Mariposa County — serving children in foster care and the court system since 2004. A portion of all proceeds supports CASA work to help every child and youth a safe, loving and permanent home as quickly as possible.
CASA of Mariposa County hosts the event in order to promote community, local economy and healthy families. Guests will enjoy delicious food, sweets, wine, beer, gifts, games, face painting, art and lots more kids activities this year. As an incentive to purchase from the all-local vendors at the event, every $5 spent at the Street Fair provides an opportunity to win incredible prizes — Disneyland packages, airline tickets, zoo tickets, casino packages, sports tickets and more.

The Mariposa Summer Fun Street Fair takes place on 7th Street in downtown Mariposa and features all-local merchants as we team up to make a difference in children’s lives.
Music and festivities will start up at 4 p.m. and go until 9 p.m.
