MARIPOSA – This Saturday, Oct. 4, marks the return of a very special event orchestrated by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Mariposa: the 3rd annual Night of the Child Fiesta Fundraiser, held at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Building A, at 5:30 p.m.
The festive fiesta includes great food and entertainment, and the best part is, you can do well by doing good, because all proceeds go to benefit abused and neglected children in Mariposa County.
BB’s catering is preparing a delicious lemony Spanish pepper chicken, toasted rice pilaf, spring salad and rolls. Beer, wine and margaritas will be served and are included in the ticket price. Tickets are $40 each, or $300 for a table of 8.
Special guest speakers Courtney Baldwin and Julie Harris from the Merced Human Services-Response and Protocol to Human Trafficking Team will be sharing their personal stories of how a CASA made a difference in their own lives.
The Spanish themed evening will also include a special performance by Andria Radmacher and Quan Vu of Sizzling Sierra Salsa. Guests may look forward to both a live and silent auction, with said-to-be incredible prizes including a four pack of Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland, and a Poulan Pro Gas Chain Saw from Foster’s True Value.
Organizers invite the community to join CASA this Saturday night to bring hope to foster children throughout the community.
