OAKHURST – YHS Softball and Yosemite Girls Softball League are putting on a family-friendly carnival fundraiser this Saturday, May 2, at the YHS soccer fields between the two softball fields, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tami Franke, Suzette Combs and the Badger Softball Team are organizing the event, with proceeds going to help improve the fields used for games.
“We are so excited to work in conjunction with the youth softball league to provide a family fun event the whole community can enjoy,” says Franke. “You can watch the 10-and-under teams compete to win their 1st Annual End of the Season Tournament, all while sending your kids to the carnival so you can enjoy watching the games.”
Ticket start at $1 for the affordable all-ages event.
“We will have a Cake Walk, food booths, and a life size Angry Bird game along with face painting and tattoos,” Franke adds. “Test your arm strength by knocking down cans with a softball, or better yet challenge one of the Badger Softball Players to see who has a better arm. There are so many prizes to be won, including inflatable super bats, beach balls, stuffed animals and lots of candy.”
