MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 49, 132 and 140..
State Route 49
- One-way traffic control from Tiptop-Usona Road to Hirsch Road for tree work beginning Monday, October 10, through Friday, October 14, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control from the Stanislaus/Tuolumne County Line to Route 49, Coulterville, for shoulder work beginning Tuesday, October 11, through Friday, October 14, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
State Route 140
- Full highway closure from Fifth Street to Route 49 North for a special event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022.
- Long-term one-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Bull Creek Road for slope repair and clearing through October 2022.
- One-way traffic control at various points from the Merced/Mariposa County Line to east of Trower Road for highway construction beginning Monday, October 10, through Friday, October 14, 2022, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Ponderosa Way for tree work beginning Monday, October 10, through Thursday, October 13, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction-related issues.
