MADERA COUNTY – Authorities are looking for man who burglarized Sears Home Store in Oakhurst. The unidentified man took off with more than $500 worth of stolen merchandise, in a vehicle reported stolen out of Fresno.
According to reports, the unknown suspect backed his vehicle – a 1995 red 4-door Honda, license plate 6JEU094 – into a parking stall directly in front of the business.
He then walked inside, yanked items right off the store’s display counters, walked out without paying, and drove off.
Items swiped from Sears include: an electric power drill, $159.99; socket wrench set, $149.99; Impact Drill/Half Inch Drive, $139.99; and a 20-piece wrench set valued at $99.99.
The crime occurred shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon at the Sears store on Junction Drive in Oakhurst.
The suspect in the surveillance picture shown above is described as white or possibly Hispanic, with his hair pulled back in a ponytail. He has a medium build, and was wearing a red baseball cap, red jersey, dark colored jeans, and what appear to be black sneakers with white soles.
