Boat Registration Required Year-Round On Bass Lake

BASS LAKE – As the summer season winds down, boaters on Bass Lake are reminded that registration stickers are required year-round on the lake.

Now that the purchase of stickers has been made much easier with the lakeside businesses selling them, rather than boaters having to work their way over to “Sheriff’s Island,” all one need do is stop in at Miller’s Landing, The Forks Resort or Bass Lake Boat Rentals to register.

Boaters are required to register immediately upon launching, and the sticker is good for the season. You cannot register for a day or a week; you must purchase an annual sticker.

The registration sticker fees vary based on type of vessel:

  • Vessels up to 35 horsepower are $32
  • 36-250 horsepower are $50
  • 251 horsepower or higher are $63
  • Personal Water Craft are $50

Boaters should also note that in the event they require assistance due to mechanical difficulties while on the lake, the sheriff’s patrol no longer tows boats. You will need to contact one of the marinas, and there may be a fee for the service.

Though the stores Millers Landing and The Forks close for the season, Bass Lake Water Sports is open year-round for boating stickers.
