Berryhill Statement On Federal Water Bill

SACRAMENTO — Senator Tom Berryhill (R-Twain Harte) released the following statement on President Obama signing the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN):

“This bipartisan plan does a host of good for California. Our current water infrastructure was built a long time ago and is nowhere near what this state requires now to deliver water to families, farms and businesses. Our recent drought has underscored the precarious condition of our water infrastructure. Ensuring more water goes to the Central Valley’s farms and communities is a common-sense step in our efforts to provide a reliable water source to communities up and down the state.”

On December 8th, Senators Jean Fuller, Tom Berryhill, Anthony Cannella, Andy Vidak, and other members of the San Joaquin Valley Caucus sent a letter to President Obama urging him to the sign the WIIN Act into law. Read the letter here.

Senator Berryhill represents the counties of Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, Stanislaus, Tuolumne and parts of Fresno, Madera, Sacramento and Tulare.
