Bass Lake And Coarsegold Light Up The Holidays

BASS LAKE – Kick off the holiday season this Saturday, Nov. 29, with the 23rd Annual Bass Lake Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights, and the Coarsegold Community Tree Lighting.

The celebration begins at Bass Lake 5 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to be at The Pines Village by 6 p.m. as dozens of floats take part in the electric parade.

The whole family will enjoy golf cart drags, holiday music and a raffle with great prizes, with all proceeds from the raffle donated to Yosemite High School Band and Choir.

After the parade, kids of all ages can have their pictures taken with Santa.

Hot cocoa and cookies will be available for purchase and all proceeds will benefit local fire stations.

Revelers are also encouraged to bring a new toy to donate to Toys for Tots. For more information, call 559-642-3121.

Also at Bass Lake, don’t miss The Pines Village Holiday Bazaar and Arts & Craft Fair open the entire Thanksgiving weekend from Friday through Sunday, Nov. 28 to 30. Admission is free. For more information call (559) 642-3121 or visit www.BassLake.com.

The community of Coarsegold will light their community Christmas Tree this Saturday also. The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at the Community Center from 5 – 8 p.m.

Enjoy free refreshments and soup, and a Kids Make-N-Take gift room. Mr. & Mrs. Claus will be in attendance, and there will be live entertainment from dancers and a live band.
