North Fork, Calif – Bass Fork Mini Mart remains closed as of today. A fire damaged the building on July 9, 2025.
Calls to the store number go unanswered. I stopped by to see if there was any update, and all I found was a darkened store, with a blue rack out front with a large hand drawn sign that says “Closed” attached to it.
The gas pumps are off, with yellow caution tape wrapped around them.
The damage from the fire can be seen from the outside. It appears that the fire started just inside the back door, and spread to the roof above the cold storage room before it was extinguished. The damage appears extensive. Early reports said that the power was out in at least half the building.
As I was standing in the parking lot, multiple customers drove in, only to find the store closed.
We have been unable to reach anyone for comment.
