Bald Mountain Receives Donated Fire Engine

AUBERRY — The Creek Fire of 2020 destroyed 856 structures while firefighters from across California deployed into Fresno County to assist with containment of the fire that burned from Sep. 4, to Dec. 24, 2020. As residents and business owners within our mountain communities continue to recover from the devastation caused by the fire, the Bald Mountain Fire Protection District was also severely affected and required assistance.

Fresno County Fire Protection District Board members and Fire Chief Dustin Hail recognized the necessities and voted with a unanimous decision to donate an in-service fire engine to Bald Mountain Fire Protection District. The apparatus being donated is a 1999 International Type 1 Fire engine that was previously operated within the Fresno County Fire Protection District.

Please join them on Friday, April 29, at 1 p.m. at the Bald Mountain Volunteer Fire Station as Bald Mountain Fire Protection District Board members, along with Fresno County Fire Protection District Board members and Chief Dustin Hail, host a fire engine donation ceremony.
