MADERA COUNTY – Todd Miller was sworn in today as Madera County Auditor Controller during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors. Miller defeated incumbent Marcia Hall in the June 3rd primary election, and Hall tendered her resignation the next day, declining to serve out the balance of her term.

Missing Oakhurst Woman Located By Police

MADERA COUNTY – Christina Romero, who disappeared Sunday, June 22, after her release from a hospital early that morning has been found, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office. Mountain Area Man Tied To Major Drug Trafficking Operation

MADERA COUNTY – A two year-long investigation, led by the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team (MADNET), has dealt a local blow to what is reportedly a multi-state drug trafficking ring. Lawrence Alexander Tidwell, 31, a mountain area resident who is a convicted felon, is accused of cultivation of marijuana, possessing marijuana for distribution, and felon in possession of a firearm.
