Sheriff's Office Breaks Ground On New Facility

MADERA – For the first time in the history of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, they will have a dedicated Emergency Operations Center, and all departments will be housed under one roof. Sheriff Requests Charges Be Filed In Casino Takeover

MADERA COUNTY – Sheriff John Anderson today announced that after reviewing evidence gathered from the Oct. 9 incident at the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino, he is asking that charges be filed in the case. At least 11 individuals have been identified, and are believed to have committed numerous felonies during a take-over attempt, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
