O’NEALS — A 56-year-old O’Neals resident was killed Friday afternoon in an ATV accident.
The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. on private property near Road 200 and Lily Mine Way, according to CHP.
The name of the victim has not been released.
According to the CHP report, the driver of a Honda Rubicon ATV was traveling westbound on private property with “uneven terrain.”
“The driver attempted to perform a U-turn when the terrain gave way, causing the vehicle and driver to slide and overturn,” the report stated. “The vehicle overturned onto the driver. The driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.”
The incident remains under investigation.
