Arrests Made In Fairmead Homicide

MADERA COUNTY – Two men have been arrested following a shooting in Fairmead this past weekend that left one man dead and two others injured.

Late Thursday night, Apr. 4, Madera County Sheriff’s detectives arrested two Chowchilla men – both accused of firing their weapons during a party shortly after midnight on Saturday, Mar. 30, at a house in Fairmead.Behind bars are Antonio Michael Ybarra, 23, and Jose Pulido-Perez, 20, both of Chowchilla.

Jose Pulido-PerezTheir arrest follows a 5-day investigation that led detectives to Chowchilla, where both men were taken into custody.

Last weekend deputies responded to complaints of loud music at a home located on Sinclair Drive, near Road 19 ½ and Avenue 22 ½.

The host was advised to turn off the music, and complied, but turned it back up after deputies left. Deputies were called out again and while en route, shots rang out. When they arrived, one person was dead, and two others wounded.

The decedent has been identified as Eleazar Iruegas, 19, of Madera. The two other victims are recovering from their injuries.

More than 100 people were on scene when the two suspects opened fire.

Pulido-Perez and Ybara both remain behind bars with bail set at $1,000,000.
