Arrest Made In Coarsegold Homicide

COARSEGOLD – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the homicide that occurred on Friday, Mar. 30, on Little John Drive in Coarsegold.

The male subject detained last night for questioning by detectives has been taken into custody.

Jacob Burdett, 25, of Coarsegold has been arrested and charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

He has been transported and booked in at Madera County Department of Corrections where he is being held on a $1 million bond.

The identity of the decedent is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation remains ongoing.
