NORTH FORK – Madera County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a suspect in relation to the burglaries in Cascadel Woods during the mandatory evacuations due to the Willow Fire.
Alexander Matthew James, 19, was arrested after he tried to sell some of the items that were stolen during the burglaries, according to the Sheriff’s Office. They say detectives recovered a Sony PlayStation 3 console and games, as well as a Buck knife that had been stolen from a residence on Vista Drive in Cascadel Woods.
James was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections on a Possession of Stolen Property charge. The investigation is continuing and detectives expect to make more arrests in the near future.
