Sheriff John Anderson cites the vigilance of impassioned citizens now willing to phone in tips, not only about suspicious activity, but the whereabouts of fugitives in Madera County.

A late night anonymous tip to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, Aug. 13, led Deputy Joshua Cushing to a home on Road 222 in North Fork where Lena Marie Walker, 23, who is wanted on a felony no bail warrant in Fresno for vehicle theft, and Rebecca Rachel Hodges, 24, wanted on a felony no bail warrant for a probation violation, were both taken into custody.

Rebecca Rachel HodgesWalker was turned over to Fresno County authorities shortly before 8:30 a.m. this morning.
